Montenegro! Montesong!

Montesong is November 27th! They changed the date on me... Montenegro is coming back after a 2 year hiatus and has a National Final!

I have a few old songs I like from Montenegro, and they seemed to be a grab bag. I tend to like chaos in Eurovision and so their participation excites me.

The songs are out (in the videos section or on Spotify) and overall they're a pretty solid group of mostly ballads. The camp potential is pretty low aside from CLICKBAIT, but that of course depends on the staging.

I started listening to the songs, and I have a few notables. I'm happy to hear if you like any, and if Montesong is available to watch, what you think of the winner.

  • Nova by Tina Dzankic

    • It's an upbeat lounge song. I think this is my favorite before seeing anyone live

  • Kraj by Anastasija Koprolcec

    • Great voice with a solid ballad. Sad but pleasant

  • Dva Srca by Baryak

    • Electronic Rock, and it's kind of closer to what I listen to normally. I don't think it would do well but that's ok.

  • To ljubav je by Durda

    • Seems like a movie score, very sweet

I'll put how to watch below and in the National final schedule event. After I'll probably post any videos worth sharing.

Format for Montesong from wikipedia: The competition will consist of a live final to be held on 27 November 2024. Sixteen entries will compete.[13] The winner of the final will be selected through a 50/50 combination of votes from a 7-member jury and from a public televote, with the same system used to award points in the Eurovision Song Contest final: the jury and the public each award one set of 12, 10 and 8–1 points to their 10 favourite entries.[14][15] The professional jury will consist of both local music professionals and music representatives from across Europe.[13]

Cheers!
