There are a few songs that really got me emotional during the performance, and I would like to add them here for you to enjoy or weep over. For a few it's the semi-final performance over the final. I will make a playlist in the youtube player as well, but I'm here to gather your favorites

I'm Not The Same - Sheldon Riley - Australia 2022
Shallow - Dons - Latvia 2024
Die Together - Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord - Greece 2022
Sheldon Riley is a pretty well-known vocalist in Australia. He is gay, autistic and is known for hiding his face on stage so that you focus on his vocals, not his identity. He hides his face to feel more comfortable when he performs. Then on stage he removes his mask during the song, changing the perspective of the lyrics. This song is also meaningful as it talked about his neurodivergence and struggles. He's so emotional and his vocals are amazing. I got tingles when I saw it.
Dons just absolutely killed it on stage. Latvia really needed a win, he is a big name there and he came in with an underdog song in a strong year. He sang the hell out of it, and you can just see the emotion he puts in and that he's at 110%.
This song was a footnote to me this year, but the performance just brought it up to a whole different level. Of course it's not available in the US... But Amanda is actually a medical doctor whose internship was at an infectious disease hospital during the 2020 shutdowns and pandemic. Her song is about the struggles of a breakup. But the pain and language lend itself to personal interpretation, I think.
The official performance isn't available in the US, so there's this too...
